Refund policy

Each poster we sell is an original piece, usually one of a kind and often decades old. Read the listing, condition notes, and photographs carefully before ordering.

14-day returns, worldwide

You may return any poster within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, no reason required. Email info@japanmovieposter.com with your order number to start the return. We will confirm the return address in Tokyo by email.

Return shipping is at your cost and arrangement. Ship the poster in its original tube, packed as received, within 14 days of notifying us. Use a tracked and insured service; the poster remains your responsibility until it reaches us.

We refund the full purchase price to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned poster or proof of return shipment, whichever is earlier. We may reduce the refund if the poster shows handling beyond what was needed to inspect it, such as creases, pinholes, surface marks, or damage from re-rolling.

Customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom: this policy reflects your statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from delivery. Your statutory legal guarantees under EU and UK law remain unaffected.

Items not as described (all customers)

If your poster arrives in a materially different condition than described, such as damage not disclosed in the listing, contact info@japanmovieposter.com within 7 days of delivery with photographs. We will review the claim and resolve it with a full refund, partial refund, or return at our expense where justified. Nothing in this section limits statutory rights that apply in your country.

Minor wear consistent with the listed vintage condition and color differences caused by screen calibration are not defects.
